About the Designer
I'm Mollie, a Graphic Designer from Swansea. I graduated with a degree in Graphic Design, as a professional designer the style of my work is very clean, modern, minimal and organised

Before going to university, I studied A Levels in Graphic Communication, Fine Art and English language. I then chose to study further going to university to begin a degree in Graphic Design. After three years, I graduated in 2022 during in which I obtained a First Class in a Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Graphic Design. Building my portfolio with a strong design focus that surrounds a selection of creative led projects. With a variety of professional outcomes including: branding, corporate identity, marketing & creative advertisement, package design, information graphics, campaign communication graphics, interactive design for both web and mobile templates as well as design for print and publication. Each design project individual to the design brief and creating impact through graphic communication.
A design aspect I have really enjoyed throughout my degree, is learning the art of arranging typography, the language of lettering through working with different typefaces as well as using typography to communicate design concepts within Graphic Design principles such as composition and layout. In addition, I have developed my professional learning as a digital designer when working with clients to create magazines, catalogues and booklet publications, designed for the purpose of print and for end users. Most of which were showcased throughout the university course exhibitions and graduate degree shows. Branding an exhibition show from, the corporate identity to the promotional material was a project I really found rewarding and developed my knowledge, understanding and skills as a designer in readiness for the design industry.

In my final year at university, I had the experience of working with design clients to transform ideas into polished outcomes working from a design brief. I was able to work with external design clients such as the University of Wales Trinity Saint David and course departments to create an exhibition design and its branded corporate identity. As well as promotional brand materials such as graduate catalogues that were printed and showcased within the degree program exhibitions; these projects can also be viewed on my website homepage.

A selection of my design work was displayed as part of the UWTSD BA Graphic Design Exhibition in May 2022, where I received the ‘INSPIRE Excellence Award 2022’. Furthermore, as well this exhibition, my work was showcased within New Designers, London 2022
A future ambition would be to build on my design industry experience as a Graphic Designer before becoming a lecturer in Graphic Communication & Design to pass on my knowledge of design principles and encourage those interested in design. As a professional designer, I currently create design projects which are available on my website along with my other design work as well as visiting art galleries and design exhibitions.
